Job summary

StockGro is seeking a QA Engineer to own end-to-end quality for Web, Android, and iOS products. You will develop test strategies, expand automation, and identify gaps in backend, frontend, and product behavior to ensure robust releases.

You will work closely with developers and product managers in a fast-paced agile environment, contributing to risk flags and high-quality deliverables from day one.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years hands-on QA in a product engineering environment.
• Experience testing backend APIs, web front-end and mobile (Android/iOS).
• Solid understanding of testing methodologies and quality strategy.
• Experience writing automation scripts with common tools.

Job description

The candidate will have responsibilities across the following functions:

Product Ownership and Quality Strategy:

• Own end-to-end quality for assigned product areas across Web, Android, and iOS.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies covering functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
• Identify and articulate gaps in backend, frontend, and product behaviour, not just surface-level UI defects.
• Participate actively in product reviews, sprint planning, and release sign-offs.

Test Engineering:

• Build, maintain, and improve automated test suites for web and mobile platforms.
• Demonstrate strong engineering fundamentals adaptable across manual, automation, API, and performance testing.
• Integrate AI-powered tools and techniques into daily testing workflows to improve coverage and efficiency.
• Contribute to shared test infrastructure and frameworks used across the QA team.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers in a fast-paced agile environment.
• Proactively flag risks, blockers, and quality concerns to stakeholders without waiting to be asked.
• Operate with a high degree of autonomy; minimal hand-holding expected from day one.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of hands-on QA experience in a product engineering environment.
• Proven ability to test across multiple domains: backend APIs, web front-end, and mobile (Android / iOS).
• Solid understanding of testing methodologies, test design techniques, and quality strategy.
• Experience writing and maintaining automation scripts (e. g., Selenium, Appium, Playwright, Espresso, or equivalent).
• Comfortable reading code and collaborating with developers at a technical level.
• Strong analytical thinking, able to map product behaviour to business impact.
