Innovaccer is seeking a Software Development Engineer-II (Full-Stack) to solve complex problems at scale in healthcare. You will work across the stack, using AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development and improve code quality.

You will own features end-to-end and collaborate with Product, Design, and AI teams to deliver meaningful solutions. The role emphasizes ownership, systems thinking, and agility in an AI-native environment, with opportunities to impact large-scale healthcare data

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience with ownership mindset.
• Strong backend experience with Python, Java, Node.js or similar.
• Strong frontend experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, ReactJS.
• Experience building production-grade full-stack services.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, databases, and cloud-native architectures.

About the Role

At Innovaccer, we’re looking for exceptional Software Development Engineer-II (Full-Stack) who are passionate about solving complex problems, building at scale, and using AI to fundamentally change how software is engineered.

You’ll work across the stack to build scalable, reliable, and intuitive products that solve meaningful customer problems in healthcare. You’ll be expected to leverage AI coding tools and modern AI-assisted development practices as a core part of your engineering workflow—from understanding and decomposing problems to coding, testing, debugging, and improving solutions.

A Day in the Life

• Design, build, test, and ship scalable, efficient, and reusable frontend and backend applications.
• Own features end-to-end—from understanding the problem and design through development, testing, deployment, and production.
• Apply AI-assisted software development throughout the engineering lifecycle, using AI coding tools to accelerate development, improve code quality, generate tests, debug issues, and explore solutions.
• Embrace the AI Development Life Cycle (AIDLC) and continuously evolve how software is designed, developed, tested, deployed, and operated in an AI-native engineering environment.
• Think beyond individual components and understand how your work impacts the broader system, platform, and customer experience.
• Identify and drive improvements in performance, scalability, reliability, security, and engineering quality.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, AI, and Engineering teams to turn ambiguous problems into simple, scalable solutions.
• Proactively identify technical challenges, challenge assumptions, and drive solutions without waiting for direction.
• Contribute to engineering excellence through design reviews, code reviews, testing, documentation, and mentoring.

What You Need

Must-have

• 3+ years of software engineering experience with a strong ownership mindset and willingness to take on challenging problems.
• Solid backend experience with Python, Java, Node.js or similar technologies and experience building production-grade services.
• Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Strong experience with ReactJS or another modern frontend framework.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, RDBMS, NoSQL databases, distributed systems, and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience building and integrating end-to-end full-stack applications.
• Hands-on experience using AI coding tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or equivalent is required. You should be comfortable using AI as a coding partner—not simply as a chatbot.
• Understanding of AIDLC / AI-native software development practices, including AI-assisted coding, test generation, debugging, code review, documentation, and iterative development.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex problems and develop creative, pragmatic solutions.
• Strong system-thinking mindset—you understand not just how something works, but why it works and how it impacts the larger system.
• Strong bias for action, ownership, curiosity, and continuous learning.
• A belief in progress over perfection, with the judgment to know when to move fast and when to go deep.

Good to have

• Hands-on experience building Agentic AI applications or workflows.
• Experience with LLMs, RAG, tool calling, MCP, AI agents, agent orchestration, or multi-agent systems.
• Experience integrating AI capabilities into production applications.
• Familiarity with evaluating, monitoring, and improving AI-powered systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Most importantly, we’re looking for engineers who are energized by hard problems, passionate about technology, comfortable with ambiguity, and excited about the opportunity to redefine how software is built in the AI era.

Education

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
