Job summary

ADCI - Karnataka is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to build scalable, AI-powered systems for EU Prime marketing and incentives on AWS. You’ll work across marketing channels, leveraging GenAI/ML to deliver personalized experiences at scale.

You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to translate ML models into production services, maintain operational excellence, and mentor peers while shipping reliable software for a global audience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience on scalable systems.
• 3+ years in the video games industry (development, release, or Live Ops).
• Experience programming with at least one programming language.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, cloud-native distributed systems using serverless architectures and microservices on AWS to support EU Prime engagement across channels.
• Collaborate with sciences, data experts, business teams, product leaders and core stores platform teams to integrate GenAI/LLM technologies into production systems driving personalized experiences.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle including reviews, testing, deployment and mentoring for high-quality engineering practices.
• Drive technical decisions balancing new feature development with reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Identify and resolve root causes of operational issues while improving team processes to reduce single-threaded dependencies.

Key job responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, cloud-native distributed systems using serverless architectures, event-driven patterns, and microservices on AWS to support EU Prime customer engagement across marketing channels
• Cross functional collaboration with Sciences, Data experts, business teams, Product leaders and core stores platform teams to integrate GenAI/LLM technologies and ML pipelines into production systems that drive personalized customer experiences at scale
• Participate actively in the full software development lifecycle including code reviews, architecture reviews, testing, deployment, and operational excellence activities while mentoring team members on high-quality engineering practices
• Drive technical decisions and design solutions for ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives that balance new feature development with system reliability, performance optimization, and maintainability
• Identify and resolve root causes of operational issues while continuously improving team operations, documentation, and processes to reduce single-threaded dependencies and build team resilience

A day in the life

You’ll design and ship features that leverage GenAI-powered services and modern AWS architectures, collaborating closely with scientists to translate ML models into reliable production systems. Your day balances building innovative capabilities with maintaining operational excellence — participating in architecture and code reviews, using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery, and ensuring systems perform reliably at scale. You’ll work across teams to shape technical direction while staying current with emerging technologies like GenAI and ML to solve real customer problems. Every engineer has autonomy to shape how Amazon reaches and engages customers wherever they are — on Amazon and beyond.

EU Prime Marketing & Incentives Tech builds the technology that understands customers and moves them further along the lifecycle — making Amazon the desired destination in Europe. Our scope spans personalized onsite experiences to large-scale offline marketing integrations across social media platforms, YouTube, and emerging digital channels. Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 3+ years of Video Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
