Job summary

ADCI - Karnataka is seeking a Software Development Engineer to contribute to India-centric health, wellness, and subscription initiatives. You will collaborate with customers, product managers, operations, category managers, and finance to design scalable systems and deliver reliable software across EC2, Lambda, and Step Functions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (patterns, reliability and scaling).
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• You solve difficult problems, applying appropriate technologies and best practices.
• You work with your team to invent, design and build software that is stable and performant.
• You are proficient in a broad range of design approaches and know when it is appropriate to use them (and when it is not). Your solutions are pragmatic.
• You consider the legacy of the code you produce and write code that an SDE unfamiliar with the system can understand.
• You limit the use of short-term workarounds. You do things with the proper level of complexity the first time (or at least minimize incidental complexity).
• You create flexible software without over-engineering. You make appropriate trade-offs, re-use where possible, and are judicious about introducing dependencies.
• You are efficient with resource usage (e.g., system hardware, database, memory/CPU, etc.)
• You work on project ideas with customers, stakeholders, and peers

The Health, Wellness and Subscriptions team within India Consumer Technology is dedicated to developing innovative products aimed at capturing a significant share of the expansive grocery market in India, ultimately providing customers with top-tier produce at affordable prices. As a Software Development Engineer (SDE) on this team, you'll be working in NAWS (EC2, Lambda, Step functions, Hex-AWS) development, presenting abundant opportunities for advancing your SDE career. Expect a manageable operations workload. Establishing an effective and top-notch grocery supply chain is paramount for Amazon to succeed in the Indian grocery sector. Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• 2+ years of contributing to new and current systems architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) experience
