Job summary

ADCI - Karnataka at Amazon is hiring Software Development Engineers (SDEs) to solve complex problems and shape the next generation of products and services. You will work on scalable distributed systems, mentor peers, and contribute to a fast-paced, week-based development cycle.

The team focuses on delivering high impact features for customers, sellers, and products worldwide, with emphasis on innovation and operational excellence in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• 3+ years of Video Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.
• Design and build technologies in a large distributed computing environment to drive industry changes.
• Create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems at scale with cutting-edge tech.
• Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable and fault-tolerant.
• Design and code the right solutions starting from broadly defined problems.
• Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.
• Improve operational excellence and enable continuous deployment.
• Mentor junior engineers in the team.

Key job responsibilities

• Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.
• Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.
• Create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed.
• Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use.
• Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.
• Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.
• Optimization of the existing technology stack for scalability and transformation of common infrastructure to support multiple programs.
• Actively work with the team to improve on operational excellence, quality of deliverables and improve on continuous deployment.
• Mentor junior engineers in the team.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 3+ years of Video Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
