Job summary

AiSensy is a WhatsApp-based Marketing & Engagement platform seeking a Software Development Engineer II (SDE-2) to join the engineering team in Gurugram. You will design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications and backend services, owning features end-to-end and collaborating across product, design, and operations.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of hands-on MERN experience, RESTful APIs, cloud platforms, and a passion for high-quality code, mentorship, and engineering excellence

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 2–4 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Cloud experience: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and Git.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications and backend services.
• Own features and modules end-to-end, from design to deployment and monitoring.
• Build secure, reliable, and high-performance systems capable of handling large-scale traffic
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define and deliver product requirements.

• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and production issues.
• Mentor and support junior engineers through technical guidance and code reviews.
• Contribute to improving development processes, testing practices, and deployment workflows.
• Work closely with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment, monitoring, and incident management.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate.

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer II (SDE-2) to join our engineering team and build scalable, reliable, and high-performance applications. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver impactful features while contributing to the technical growth of the team. As an SDE-2, you will take ownership of key modules, participate in system design discussions, mentor junior engineers, and help drive engineering excellence through high-quality code and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, or similar technologies.
• Exposure to monitoring and observability tools.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
