Job summary

Shiprocket Omuni Private Limited in Bengaluru is seeking a Tech Lead to build scalable distributed systems and lead AI/ML initiatives. You will prototype features, scale real-time data processing, and collaborate with multiple teams to deliver cross-vertical solutions.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in scalable software, strong Java/J2EE with Spring Boot, and hands-on Python for ML/AI. Experience with LLMs, NLP, and prompt engineering is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience creating highly scalable, high performance distributed applications.
• Proficient in Java/J2EE with Spring Boot and relational databases like MySQL.
• Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis) and ORM frameworks (Hibernate, Spring JPA).
• Experience with Microservices architecture, distributed systems and multi threading.
• Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures; capable of clean, efficient code.
• Hands-on with Python, machine learning and Generative AI; familiar with LLMs, NLP and prompt engineering.
• Experience with queuing systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka) and cloud/Kubernetes environments.
• Prior SaaS/multi-tenancy exposure is a plus; good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Rapidly prototype and incubate new features and solutions.
• Develop solutions to scale real-time processing of massive data volumes.
• Collaborate with other teams to prototype cross-vertical solutions.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers.

• Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML and Generative AI solutions.
• Work with LLMs, RAG, embeddings, and vector databases; implement OpenAI/Claude/Gemini integrations.

Responsibilities:

Basic Qualifications: - Ideal candidate profile

• Experience working in agile teams/ processes.
• Apply best coding practices , code reviews, source control management, build processes and unit testing
• Experience in building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.
• Experience with scalable, API based agent or service oriented software architecture
• Excellent understanding of Algorithms, Data Structures, complexity analysis.
• Must be able to write high quality, fault-tolerant and optimized code in Java.
• Candidates must have good written and oral communication skills.
• Advance knowledge in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot framework, MySQL, NoSQL databases like MongoDb, Redis
• Experience in Micro services architecture and distributed systems,HLD and LLD
