Applied Research Works in Kolkata (India) is seeking a Software Development Engineer (SDE I/II/III) who enjoys solving real problems and building scalable systems. You will work across APIs, data pipelines, UI layers, and integrations, contributing to production-ready software across multiple tech stacks.

The role emphasizes learning, system thinking, and ownership, with opportunities to work across Node.js, Express, React, and databases in a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of professional development experience.
• Strong in at least one modern language (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python) and willing to use others.
• Experience with REST APIs, web frameworks, and databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or equivalent).
• Working knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Strong debugging, version control (Git), and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and build robust, modular software components that can scale and evolve.

Software Development Engineer (SDE I / II / III)

Position: Software Development Engineer (SDE I/II/III)

Location: Kolkata, West Bengal (India) (Hybrid)

Overview

We are looking for engineers who enjoy solving real problems, not just writing code. Our team builds systems that connect healthcare data, simplify workflows, and make analytics actionable for providers and payers. You will work across multiple layers of our stack from APIs and data pipelines to front-end and integrations. The ideal candidate is not bound to a single tech stack but curious about how systems talk to each other and how software behaves in production.

What Youll Do

• Active GitHub or public code samples that reflect personal learning or experimentation.
