Role Overview
We are seeking a high-caliber Software Development Engineer (SDE-1) to join our core engineering team in Chennai. In this role, you will design, build, and ship production-grade software applications while embedding AI-assisted engineering workflows into the software development lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with senior engineering leaders to deliver robust, low-latency microservices and modern digital experiences.
Basic Skills & Prerequisites
Candidates must hold a B.E., B.Tech, or Dual Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or allied technical branches exclusively from premier engineering institutes. You should have 1 to 2 years of full-time professional experience in backend or full-stack software engineering. Candidates are expected to possess strong communication skills, an analytical problem-solving mindset, and a strong sense of technical ownership. A solid understanding of agile development processes, software development lifecycle practices, and modern version control using Git is required to succeed in this role.
Mandatory Technical Skills & Capabilities
To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate strong hands‑on proficiency in at least one core programming language, such as Python, Java, C or C++. You must possess a deep command of Computer Science fundamentals, including object-oriented design patterns, algorithms, and core Data Structures. Practical experience designing, querying, and managing relational or NoSQL databasessuch as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, or MongoDB—is required. Additionally, you must have hands‑on experience incorporating AI into your engineering workflow, including using AI-assisted coding tools like GitHub Copilot or Cursor, integrating LLM APIs and prompt engineering techniques.
