Job summary

NTT DATA, Inc. is seeking a Software Development Advisor for our Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India team to monitor production systems and drive improvements across data pipelines and applications.

You will review current architectures, implement enhancements, and provide on-call support as needed, collaborating with business, risk, and IT teams to ensure secure and reliable data processing.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with ETL development and data integration best practices.
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills for finance-related databases and reporting.
• Proficiency in .NET programming and interfacing with cloud data pipelines.
• Ability to analyze and optimize query performance and provide rapid root-cause analysis.
• Experience supporting web, desktop or mobile applications with debugging and improvements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and address issues on assigned production systems.
• Review and document current systems; propose and implement enhancements.
• Provide technical support for applications across web, desktop, and mobile.
• Upgrade, configure and debug existing systems; triage complex issues and escalations.
• Identify root cause in code or DB and suggest break-fix activities.
• Maintain awareness of data security and privacy best practices.

We are currently seeking a Software Development Advisor to join our team in Chennai, Tamil Nādu (IN-TN), India (IN).

Is accountable for monitoring and addressing issues found on the assigned production systems.

Participates in reviewing and documenting current systems and in proposing/implementing enhancements.

Experience

• Thorough knowledge of and skill in database ETL processes.
• Proficient knowledge of .Net programming.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• The ability to take responsibility for one’s own performance.
• High degree of integrity in handling confidential information.

Skills

• Strong experience with ETL development and data integration best practices.
• Troubleshoot and optimize cloud data pipelines for performance, security, and reliability.
• Strong SQL skills and familiarity with finance-focused databases and reporting systems.
• Analyze and Optimize query performance.
• Providing technical support for web, desktop or mobile applications.
• Upgrading, configuring and debugging existing systems.
• Triage complex issues and handle escalations.
• Identify root cause in the code, suggest break-fix activities in the code and/or DB.
• Exposure to modern data security and privacy practices.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across business, risk, and IT teams.
• Process oriented mindset and ability to change/adapt quickly.
• Willing to provide support after office hours, weekends and stay on call when business needs.
• Hands on experience with application support workload a plus.
• Knowledge of Insurance industry a plus.
