Job summary

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain integrations using Java and event-driven architectures.

• Contribute to the development of a configuration-driven warehouse control platform.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Work with Site Reliability Engineering and Platform Engineering teams to improve observability, deployment processes, and operational excellence.

Software Engineer Software Developer – Warehouse Automation & Integrations Role Overview We are looking for a Software Developer to join the team responsible for our warehouse control system and automation platform. In this role, you will develop integrations connecting warehouse control systems, material handling equipment, robotics platforms, PLC-controlled automation, and enterprise applications. You will work closely with architects, automation specialists, software engineers, and operational stakeholders to deliver solutions that power highly automated logistics operations. Success in this role requires a strong understanding of software development combined with a genuine interest in warehouse automation, industrial control systems, and operational technology. As we continue evolving MCS from a project-based solution towards a scalable platform, this role will help drive standardisation, configuration-driven delivery, and reusable integration capabilities.

• Experience with communication between WCS, WMS, PLCs, and operational technology systems.
• Additionally Beneficial Experience with Docker and container-based deployments.
• Experience working with cloud-native platforms.
• Knowledge of observability and monitoring solutions.
• Experience with CI/CD practices.
• Interest in AI-assisted development and automation.
