Job summary

Sopra Steria in Bengaluru seeks a seasoned data engineer to design, develop, and deploy data solutions using Python, PySpark, AWS, and Foundry. You will work on data integration, modeling, warehousing, and API-driven services within an Agile environment.

Required 6–8 years of development experience and a relevant CS/IT degree. The role emphasizes building scalable, secure web applications and collaborating across teams.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python, SQL and Spark with 3+ years of experience.
• Strong data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with data integration, transformation, and visualization tools.
• Full stack knowledge in Python & PySpark.
• Experience with Foundry platform (Slate, Code Workbook, Code Authoring).
• Knowledge of Spark-SQL with Python.
• Exposure to APIs/RESTful Web services.

Detailed JD:

1. Proficiency in Python, SQL, and/or Spark with minimum of 3 years working experience.
2. Solid understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
3. Experience working with data integration, transformation, and visualization tools.
4. Should have the full stack knowledge experience in the Python & PySpark.
5. Experience with Foundry platform, building and deploying solutions using Slate, Code workbook , Code Authoring and other related Foundry tools
6. Knowledge on some of the Spark & Spark-SQL with Python .
7. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
8. Exposure of APIs and RESTful Web-services.
9. Solid experience in Unit Testing and test-driven development methods. Good to have knowledge in Microservices,Git,Jenkins,DevOps , React and AWS
10. Proven track record as developer acting across the entire development lifecycle.
11. Strong hands-on development skills to prototype technical & innovative solutions.
12. Working experience in Agile Scrum, SAFe and/or Kanban projects.
13. Ability to understand business requirements and translate into technical requirements.
14. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
