Job summary

SonicWall is seeking a Software Dev Senior Associate Engineer (T-SQL | Microsoft SQL Server | C# | Database Development) to design and optimize database solutions. You will develop backend functions, stored procedures, and data scripts to support global SonicWall devices and product interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Development of Backend functions / stored procedures / data scripts for product integration using T-SQL.
• Development of Windows/Linux admin scripts to support deployment tasks.
• Creation of user-facing documentation for the application features.
• Creation of technical documentation describing application behavior.
• Final compilation of development code from the web applications team.
• Work with QA to reproduce, analyze and resolve issues.
• Generate automated testing scripts for SonicWall applications.

Job Overview/Summary:

• Develop high-quality database Solutions
• Development and fine tuning on Stored Procedures, functions, T-SQL
• Implementation of stand-alone components in applications for achieving business requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

• Development of Backend functions / stored procedures / data scripts for SonicWALL Product integration interfaces using T-SQL allowing globally deployed SonicWALL devices to make status checks on a central database.
• Development of windows/Linux admin scripts to support application deployment related tasks if needed.
• Creation of documentation intended for the user community of the application explaining the features and functions of the application
• Creation of technical documentation that describes functional behavior of the application or subcomponents
• Final compilation of development code from the web applications team.
• Work with Quality Assurance to reproduce, analyze and resolve development and production issues.
• Generate automated testing scripts for SonicWALL applications using a Test Suite/tools.

Education, Experience & Other Requirements:

• Four-year college degree in Engineering or Masters in a related field.
• Minimum 1-4 years of experience in web applications and an aptitude for programming.

Technical Skills:

• Strong experience with T-SQL
• DBMS: Microsoft SQL Server 2019+, MongoDB
• Database and web service experience
• Source Control - Git, Perforce
• Clear, effective communication, both verbal and written.
• Good time-management skills and problem-solving skills.
• Critical Thinker and a team player
