Job summary

Amazon is seeking smart, passionate engineers to own and manage strategic WHS initiatives. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and takes ownership to deliver scalable, reliable safety-focused software for a global Operations workforce.

You will lead the full product lifecycle, collaborate with Product Managers and cross-functional teams, mentor juniors, and communicate clearly to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience for new and existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one software language.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.

Responsibilities

• Lead the entire product lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, release, and maintenance of highly scalable distributed software systems.
• Identify and enhance team processes and best practices, influence technical direction, drive operational excellence, and maintain quality standards for team deliverables.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Technical Program Managers, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver new product features.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers, demonstrating best development practices and providing constructive feedback.
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

Key job responsibilities

1. Lead the entire product lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, release, and maintenance of highly scalable distributed software systems.

Basic Qualifications

• - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• - Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science

Preferred Qualifications

• - 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• - Master's degree in Computer Science
• - Experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics or natural language processing
