Job summary

Amazon in Bengaluru is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to design, implement, and operate AI-native platform capabilities for Amazon Business Payment services. You will contribute to AI-ready APIs and abstractions on top of production systems while ensuring security, correctness, and operational excellence.

You will own well-defined components end‑to‑end from design to deployment and on‑call support, collaborating with senior engineers and partner teams to deliver high‑quality software

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience in new or existing systems.
• 3+ years of Video Games Industry experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

• Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use.
• Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.

Description

As a Software Development Engineer II on this team, you will design, implement, and operate AI-native platform capabilities that enable intelligent systems to interact with large-scale Amazon Business Payment services. You will contribute to building AI-ready APIs and abstractions on top of existing production systems, enabling new customer-facing use cases while maintaining high standards for security, correctness, and operational excellence.

In this role, you will own well-defined components end-to-end from design and implementation through deployment and on-call support while collaborating with senior engineers and partner teams across Amazon. You are expected to deliver high-quality software, participate in design and code reviews, and continuously raise the engineering bar in a fast-paced, high-scale environment.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 3+ years of Video Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
