Job summary

EY is seeking a Software Configuration Coordinator in India to plan, coordinate and govern software changes and releases across SAP environments. You will partner with Basis, Development, Testing and Business teams to ensure controlled, compliant and timely releases.

The role requires experience with SAP Solution Manager (ChaRM) and SAP Transport Management System, ITSM tools, and ITIL practices, with an emphasis on governance, risk management, and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Hands-on experience with SAP Solution Manager (ChaRM, Enhanced Retrofits, Focused Build, Solution Documentation).
• Experience with SAP Transport Management System (STMS).
• Experience with IT Service Management tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Knowledge of ITIL Service, Change, and Release Management practices.
• Ability to lead and influence cross-functional, multi-location teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Able to manage multiple parallel releases and priorities with clear communication and effective organization.
• Detail- and quality-focused, with a consistent approach to following and improving processes.
• Works effectively with distributed teams, including coordinating work across time zones and knowing when to escalate risks.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and relationship-building skills.
• Adapts to changing priorities by re-planning work, communicating trade-offs, and maintaining delivery quality.
• Standard working hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST, with flexibility required to work outside these hours based on business needs.

Role Overview

The Software Configuration Coordinator is accountable for planning, coordinating, and governing software changes and releases across the enterprise landscape.
