Job summary

Placon Hr Services in Ahmedabad is seeking an experienced Software Architect to define and oversee scalable, secure software solutions. You will lead architecture decisions, guide development teams, and ensure alignment with business goals.

Responsibilities include designing end-to-end architectures, selecting technologies, and setting standards for CI/CD, security, and performance across enterprise applications.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Software Architecture / Solution Architecture.
• Solid knowledge of OO design, design patterns, SOLID, and SDLC.
• Experience with Microservices Architecture and Distributed Systems.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, API Gateway, event-driven architecture, and system integration.
• Experience with databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle and/or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Good understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Git, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with messaging platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies.
• Strong understanding of application security, authentication, authorization, and data protection.
• Experience with architecture documentation tools like UML or C4 Model.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Software Architect to design and oversee scalable, secure, and high-performance software solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining the overall technical architecture, selecting appropriate technologies, guiding development teams, and ensuring that solutions align with business and technology objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and define end-to-end software architecture for enterprise applications and platforms.
• Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
• Define architecture principles, standards, design patterns, and technology roadmaps.
• Evaluate and select appropriate programming languages, frameworks, databases, cloud platforms, and tools.
• Design microservices, APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-native applications.
• Ensure applications are designed for scalability, availability, performance, security, and reliability.
• Review technical designs, architecture documents, and source code to ensure adherence to standards.
• Work closely with Product, Engineering, DevOps, Security, Data, and Business teams.
• Lead technical discussions and provide guidance to Software Engineers and Technical Leads.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, performance bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimization.
• Define integration strategies between internal and third-party systems.
• Establish best practices for CI/CD, DevOps, testing, monitoring, logging, and deployment.
• Ensure compliance with security, data protection, and enterprise architecture standards.
• Drive modernization of legacy applications and migration toward modern architectures where required.
• Prepare High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend solutions that provide business value.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong experience in Software Architecture / Solution Architecture.
• Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Design, Design Patterns, SOLID principles, and SDLC.
• Experience with Microservices Architecture and Distributed Systems.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, API Gateway, event-driven architecture, and system integration.
