Job summary

Siemens Technology and Services Private Limited seeks an AI Architect / Software Architect to define end-to-end architectures for enterprise AI platforms, leveraging GenAI, LLMs, and Knowledge Graphs. You will drive decisions across application, data, cloud, and security layers, mentor teams, and establish reusable patterns for multiple product teams.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience in Software Architecture, Solution Architecture, Enterprise Application Development, AI Engineering, or related technical leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge in Knowledge Graphs, Semantic Technologies, AI/ML, and Generative AI, with working across cloud, data, and security layers.
• Experience with Java and Python, microservices, API-first design, CI/CD, and containerization in cloud-native environments.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end solution architectures for enterprise AI platforms and software products leveraging GenAI, LLMs, RAG, Knowledge Graphs, ML, and automation.
• Drive architecture decisions across application, data, AI/ML, integration, cloud, and security layers aligned with business objectives.
• Establish reusable architectural patterns, reference architectures, engineering standards, and best practices for multiple product teams.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineering teams, stakeholders, and leadership to translate business challenges into scalable tech solutions.
• Mentor development teams, perform architecture reviews, and drive technical excellence across the software delivery lifecycle.
• Architect and enable enterprise AI/ML solutions covering model development, serving, monitoring, retraining, and evaluation.
• Design retrieval ecosystems with Knowledge Graphs, ontologies, taxonomies, semantic search, vector databases, and RAG architectures.
• Lead implementation of intelligent solutions using LLMs, multi-agent systems, prompt engineering, AI orchestration, and domain-specific reasoning.
• Promote Responsible AI, governance, security, privacy, and enterprise AI adoption standards.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies, tools, frameworks, and platforms balancing value, scalability, and efficiency.

We are looking for: AI Architect / Software Architect

You’ll make an impact by:

• Define and govern end-to-end solution architectures for enterprise AI platforms and software products leveraging GenAI, LLMs, RAG, Knowledge Graphs, Machine Learning, and intelligent automation frameworks.
• Drive architecture decisions across application, data, AI/ML, integration, cloud, and security layers while ensuring alignment with business and product objectives.
• Establish reusable architectural patterns, reference architectures, engineering standards, and best practices to accelerate delivery across multiple product teams.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineering teams, business stakeholders, and leadership to translate business challenges into scalable technology solutions.
• Mentor development teams, perform architecture reviews, and drive technical excellence across the software delivery lifecycle.
• Architect and enable enterprise AI/ML solutions covering model development, model serving, monitoring, retraining, evaluation frameworks, and continuous improvement processes.
• Design advanced retrieval ecosystems incorporating Knowledge Graphs, ontologies, taxonomies, semantic search, vector databases, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
• Lead the implementation of intelligent solutions leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs), multi-agent systems, prompt engineering, AI orchestration frameworks, and domain-specific reasoning capabilities.
• Drive Responsible AI practices including explainability, governance, security, compliance, risk mitigation, data privacy, and enterprise AI adoption standards.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging AI technologies, tools, frameworks, and platforms to support innovation while balancing business value, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Software Architecture & Engineering Excellence
• Design scalable enterprise applications using Java and Python-based microservices architecture, API-first design principles, event-driven patterns, and distributed system concepts.
• Define architecture patterns for cloud-native development, containerized deployments, and service orchestration using technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ensure architectural compliance with Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) including scalability, resiliency, fault tolerance, observability, performance, maintainability, and security.
• Guide development teams in implementing CI/CD, DevOps, testing strategies, code quality standards, and engineering best practices.
• Conduct architecture assessments, technology evaluations, performance benchmarking, and technical governance activities to ensure sustainable solution delivery.
• Cloud, Infrastructure & Platform Awareness
• Architect and support cloud-native solutions leveraging Azure and AWS services, enabling scalable, secure, and resilient application ecosystems.
• Demonstrate strong understanding or working awareness of infrastructure architecture, networking, platform operations, environment management, security controls, monitoring, and operational governance.
• Collaborate effectively with DevOps, Infrastructure, Security, and Platform Engineering teams to ensure smooth deployment, operational stability, and lifecycle management.
• Possess working knowledge or awareness of Database Administration (DBA) activities including database design concepts, performance optimization, indexing, backup and recovery strategies, data security, and operational support.
• Drive integration across enterprise applications, AI platforms, data services, cloud services, and infrastructure components to ensure seamless end-to-end solution delivery.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• 8-12 years of experience in Software Architecture, Solution Architecture, Enterprise Application Development, AI Engineering, or related technical leadership roles.
• Strong expertise in at least one of the following areas and working knowledge across all three:
• Knowledge Engineering & Semantic Technologies: Knowledge Graphs, Ontologies, Taxonomies, Enterprise Search, Semantic Search, Vector Databases, and Knowledge-Driven Architectures.
• AI/ML & Generative AI: Machine Learning, Deep Learning, LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI, Prompt Engineering, AI Evaluation, MLOps, and AI Governance.
• Enterprise Software Engineering: Java and Python Development, Microservices Architecture, API Integration, Cloud-Native Applications, Containerization, CI/CD, and Modern Software Design Patterns.
• Strong awareness of cloud platforms, infrastructure operations, DevOps practices, security architecture, platform engineering, and database management concepts.
• Awareness of industry-standard AI, cloud, architecture, software engineering, and enterprise integration practices; exposure to Electrification, Energy, Industrial Automation, Manufacturing, or Engineering domains is considered an added advantage.
• Desired Awareness & Exposure
• Knowledge of cloud-native AI ecosystems such as Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure Machine Learning, AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, or equivalent AI platforms.
• Awareness of enterprise architecture principles, solution governance, technology modernization, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Understanding of Infrastructure, Platform Operations, Security, Compliance, Monitoring, and Database Administration practices within enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with Responsible AI principles, model governance, data privacy regulations, and secure AI solution design.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, documentation, collaboration, and leadership capabilities with the ability to influence technical decisions across diverse teams.
• This role is best suited for professionals who can combine AI innovation, Knowledge Graph-driven intelligence, modern software architecture, and enterprise-scale engineering practices to build next-generation digital products and platforms.
