Siemens Technology and Services Private Limited in Bangalore invites an AI Enablement Engineer (Architect) to lead context engineering and AI tooling across large monorepos, ensuring low latency and scalable data access.

You will design semantic search, RAG pipelines, and deployment-ready developer tools, collaborating with product teams to modernize brownfield systems while keeping latency and reliability in focus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of experience with LLM workflows, prompt engineering, RAG, or AI/ML tooling.
• Demonstrated ability to build and ship production-grade services, APIs, and developer tools.
• Solid experience with CI/CD, observability, and at least one major cloud provider.

Responsibilities

• Build context packs assembling repo, doc, and ticket context with latency under 200 ms.
• Design semantic/code search, RAG, and repo-level indexing for large monorepos.
• Implement context-ranking logic to optimize prompts and avoid dumping repos.
• Integrate with internal APIs to access code, APIs, tickets, and schemas.
• Extend IDEs with internal AI plugins and context-aware assistants.
• Build AI-powered CI/CD workflows like PR auto-remediation and test generation.
• Add telemetry to track usage, latency, and AI-generated code quality.

We are looking for: AI Enablement Engineer (Architect)

You’ll make an impact by:

• Context Engineering & Retrieval:
  • Build “context packers” that assemble repo, doc, and ticket context for AI tools, with latency under 200 ms.
  • Design and implement semantic/code search, RAG, and repo‑level indexing for large monorepos and service boundaries.
  • Implement context-ranking logic (by file relevance, recency, dependencies) instead of dumping entire repos into prompts.
  • Integrate with MCP-style protocols or internal APIs so AI tools can access internal code, APIs, tickets, and schemas.
• Prompt Engineering & Orchestration:
  • Create and maintain a library of reusable prompts for common tasks:
  • Implement versioning, tagging, A/B testing, and quality scoring for prompts.
  • Collaborate with brownfield teams to codify patterns for legacy systems and migration.
  • Help build guardrails (e.g., safety, style, security) around generated outputs.
• Tooling, Integrations, and Observability:
  • Extend IDEs (VS Code, JetBrains, Cursor, etc.) with internal AI plugins, status bars, and context‑aware assistants.
  • Build AI-powered CI/CD workflows, e.g., PR auto‑remediation, test generation, and risk/impact summaries.
  • Add telemetry to track usage, latency, failure rates, token consumption, and quality of AI‑generated code.
  • Monitor and tune model performance, prompt effectiveness, and guardrail coverage.
• Collaboration with Engineering Teams:
  • Partner with product teams to identify high‑friction workflows where AI can make the biggest difference.
  • Conduct onboarding sessions, walkthroughs, and “debugging with AI” sessions with developers.
  • Collect feedback and iterate on the platform to make it more usable for brownfield codebases.

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with strong skills in Python, TypeScript, Java, or Go (or similar stack‑agnostic expertise).
• 2+ years of experience with LLM workflows, prompt engineering, RAG, or AI/ML tooling.
• Demonstrated ability to build and ship production‑grade services, APIs, and developer tools.
• Solid experience with CI/CD, observability, and at least one major cloud provider.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills, with an innate sense of “what’s too slow, too noisy, or too complex.”
• Has built or extended internal developer tools, platforms, or SDKs.
• Comfortable working directly with developers to understand their day‑to‑day pain points.
• Passionate about AI and reimagining software development - but pragmatic about latency, complexity, and real‑world constraints.
• Excited about brownfield environments and legacy system modernization.
