Job summary

Marksans Pharma in Goa seeks an experienced operator for gelatin, medicament fill preparation and encapsulation sections. You will work in shifts, operate and monitor equipment, keep process parameters in control and ensure GMP compliance.

The role requires a BSc/MSc or BPharm/MPharma and about 17 years in pharma manufacturing, with hands-on experience in gelatin, fill preparation or encapsulation. You will coordinate with QA/QC and maintenance to meet production targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in gelatin processing, medicament/fill preparation or encapsulation is essential.
• Knowledge of GMP, BMR/SOP and documentation.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate gelatin preparation and melting equipment per SOP/BMR.
• Monitor temperature, viscosity and other process parameters.
• Ensure proper gelatin preparation, transfer and storage.
• Perform equipment cleaning and changeover activities.
• Dispense and prepare medicament/fill per BMR.
• Operate mixing/homogenization equipment and maintain parameters.
• Ensure uniform fill material and complete batch documentation.
• Report breakdowns, deviations and process abnormalities; follow GMP and data integrity requirements.
• Operate Softgel encapsulation machines; monitor yield and quality.
• Maintain records; coordinate with QA/QC, Eng and Warehouse for batch execution.
• Achieve production targets with minimal material loss and downtime.

Role & responsibilities

Gelatin Section

• Operate gelatin preparation and melting equipment as per SOP/BMR.
• Monitor temperature, viscosity and other critical process parameters.
• Ensure proper gelatin preparation, transfer and storage.
• Perform equipment cleaning and changeover activities.

Medicament / Fill Preparation Section

• Perform dispensing and preparation of medicament/fill material as per BMR.
• Operate and monitor mixing/homogenization equipment.
• Maintain required process parameters and ensure uniformity of the fill material.
• Complete batch documentation and follow GMP requirements.

Encapsulation Section

• Operate and monitor Softgel encapsulation machines.
• Monitor fill weight, shell thickness, machine speed, temperature and other process parameters.
• Ensure proper encapsulation, quality and yield.
• Carry out machine cleaning, changeover and line clearance as per SOP.
• Report breakdowns, deviations and process abnormalities.
• Follow cGMP, SOPs, safety and data-integrity requirements.
• Maintain BMR, logbooks, checklists and other production records.
• Coordinate with QA, QC, Engineering and Warehouse for smooth batch execution.
• Achieve production targets while minimizing material loss and downtime.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.Sc. / M.Sc /B.Pharm/ M.Pharma or relevant qualification.
• 17 years experience in Pharmaceutical / OSD / Softgel manufacturing.
• Experience in Gelatin, Medicament/Fill Preparation or Encapsulation preferred.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
