Job summary

Coding Ninjas is seeking a creative Social Media Executive to craft engaging short-form content on coding and tech careers. You will script, produce, and optimize content for platforms like Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Twitter, targeting Gen Z and tech enthusiasts.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of experience, strong copywriting, and a knack for storytelling that drives engagement and growth across channels. Familiarity with basic analytics and CapCut is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of social media content creation and video scripting.
• Proven ability to create fun, relatable content for Reels/Shorts.
• Understanding of basic coding concepts to speak the language of our audience.
• Strong copywriting and storytelling skills for viral content.
• Comfortable in front of the camera (preferred).
• Up-to-date with internet culture and tech trends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Content Creation: Ideate, script, and produce engaging short-form content (Reels, YouTube Shorts, etc.) around coding, tech careers, student life, and trends.
• Scripting & Concepts: Develop viral content ideas and storyboards that resonate with Gen Z and tech-interested audiences.
• Platform Growth: Contribute to the growth of our Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube & Twitter through strategic content planning and experimentation.
• Tech Savvy: Simplify complex tech concepts (coding, AI, careers in tech, etc.) into entertaining content pieces.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the design, video, and community teams to execute content plans on time.
• Performance Tracking: Use basic analytics to understand what's working and iterate accordingly.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of experience in social media content creation and video scripting.
• Proven ability to create fun, relatable, and high-performing content for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, etc.
• Understanding of basic coding/tech concepts (so you can speak the language of our audience!).
• Strong copywriting and storytelling skills - especially for viral & scroll-stopping content.
• Comfortable in front of the camera (optional but preferred).
• Up-to-date with internet culture, meme trends, and tech/career content on social.

Good to Have:

• Basic video editing or familiarity with tools like CapCut, etc.
• Past experience working in the ed-tech or tech space.
• Basic knowledge of analytics tools like Meta Business Suite, YouTube Studio, etc.
