Job summary

Arrow Associates Infrastructure Private Limited is seeking a seasoned professional to conduct Social Impact Assessments for highway infrastructure projects. You will identify social risks, prepare RAPs/IPPs, and ensure integration of gender and inclusion throughout design and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Social Impact Assessments (SIA) per laws/guidelines.

• Prepare RAPs/IPPs and livelihood restoration plans as required.
• Integrate gender and inclusion in project design and implementation.
• Develop and implement Stakeholder Engagement Plans and consultations.
• Facilitate hearings, workshops, and disclosure meetings with authorities.
• Document inputs and incorporate into project decisions.
• Support land acquisition and resettlement with government authorities.
• Oversee compensation, relocation, and livelihood restoration.

Job description

Arrow Associates Infrastructure Private Limited | Full time

Conduct Social Impact Assessments (SIA) in accordance with applicable laws and guidelines (e.g., RFCTLARR Act 2013, World Bank ESS, ADB SPS, etc.).

Identify and assess potential social risks including land acquisition, displacement, community health and safety, and vulnerable groups.

Prepare and implement Resettlement Action Plans (RAPs), Indigenous Peoples Plans (IPPs), or Livelihood Restoration Plans as required.

Ensure integration of gender and inclusion aspects in the project design and implementation.

Develop and implement Stakeholder Engagement Plans (SEP) and consultation strategies with affected communities.

Facilitate public hearings, workshops, and disclosure meetings in coordination with local authorities.

Document stakeholder inputs and ensure they are incorporated into project decisions.

Support the Land Acquisition and Resettlement process in coordination with government authorities.

Oversee compensation disbursement, relocation, and livelihood restoration activities.

Monitor compliance with social safeguard measures during construction and operation phases.

Develop and maintain a Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM) and track grievance resolution.

Prepare monthly/quarterly monitoring reports on social performance and compliance.

Liaise with contractors and supervision consultants to ensure implementation of social mitigation measures.

Maintain social data and documentation for audits and review missions.

Requirements

Qualification: B.A in sociology/ Economics and M.A in sociology/ Economics

Experience: 15 years of experience must be in highway infrastructure projects.
