Qualifications

Role Overview

We are looking for experienced Snowflake + dbt professionals with strong hands-on expertise in modern data warehousing, data transformation, ETL/ELT, and cloud data platforms. The candidate will be responsible for developing scalable data solutions using Snowflake and dbt, optimizing data pipelines, and working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data products.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data transformation workflows using Snowflake and dbt.
• Develop complex dbt models, transformations, tests, macros, snapshots, and incremental models.
• Work extensively with Snowflake SQL for data transformation, analysis, and optimization.
• Design and implement data warehouse/data mart solutions on Snowflake.
• Develop efficient ELT pipelines integrating data from multiple source systems.
• Implement dbt testing, data quality checks, documentation, and lineage.
• Optimize Snowflake queries, warehouses, tables, and workloads for performance and cost.
• Implement appropriate incremental loading and data processing strategies.
• Work with Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines for dbt deployments.
• Troubleshoot data pipeline failures, performance issues, and data quality problems.
• Collaborate with Data Architects, Data Engineers, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in requirements analysis, technical design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.

Mandatory Skills

• 618 years of overall IT/Data Engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake.
• Strong hands-on experience with dbt (Data Build Tool).
• Excellent SQL skills, particularly Snowflake SQL.
• Strong experience in ELT/ETL and data warehouse development.
• Experience developing dbt models, macros, tests, snapshots, and incremental models.
• Good understanding of data modeling concepts such as Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Fact and Dimension tables.
• Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket.
• Experience with CI/CD and deployment of data transformation pipelines.
• Strong understanding of data quality, validation, and troubleshooting.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with dbt Cloud.
• Python scripting.
• Experience with Airflow / Apache Airflow or other orchestration tools.
• Exposure to AWS / Azure / GCP.
• Experience with AWS S3, Azure Data Lake, or similar cloud storage.
