Job summary

Blumetra is seeking a Data Engineer with deep Snowflake and dbt experience to design, develop, and deploy scalable data pipelines for analytics workloads. You will implement advanced dbt models, tests, and macros, and ensure robust data lineage and documentation.

The role requires hands-on dbt development, mastery of Snowflake features such as Dynamic Tables, and Git-based DevOps with CI/CD. You will collaborate across data engineering and analytics teams to deliver reliable data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy scalable data pipelines using Snowflake and dbt.

• Maintain data lineage and documentation within dbt projects.
• Leverage Snowflake capabilities and Dynamic Tables alongside dbt models.
• Use Snowflake Notebooks for environment changes.
• Implement Snowflake DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage dbt environments and targets across Development, Testing, Production.
• Run SQL and dbt projects inside Snowflake via Git repositories.

• Implement Slim CI and state-based deployments as part of PRs.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with dbt development, Snowflake features, Git integration, DevOps, CI/CD, SQL, and Python.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy scalable data pipelines using Snowflake and dbt.
• Develop and maintain dbt models, tests, snapshots, and macros.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and data lineagewithin dbt projects.
• Work with modern Snowflake capabilities, particularly Dynamic Tables, alongside dbt models.
• Utilize Snowflake Notebooksfor development and deployment of environment changes.
• Implement and manage Snowflake DevOpspractices and processes.
• Manage dbt environments and targetsacross Development, Testing, and Production.
• Execute SQL scripts and dbt projects directly within Snowflakeusing Git repositories.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelinesusing Snowflake Git integration and dbt.
• Implement Slim CI, state-based runs, and automated testing gatesas part of pull request workflows.
• Develop Python scripts and dbt Python models, where appropriate, for orchestration, automation, and data processing.

• Follow best practices for code quality, version control, testing, deployment, and data engineering standards.
