Job summary

Infosys is seeking a Snowflake Platform Administrator to own day-to-day Snowflake operations across multiple environments, ensuring governance, security, and reliability. The role requires close collaboration with Infra, Networking, and Security teams to maintain scalable, compliant data platforms.

You will optimize compute warehouses, manage access controls, and contribute to CI/CD practices on the data platform. Strong incident management and RCA skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience administering Snowflake platform and environments (databases, schemas, warehouses).
• Knowledge of RBAC, SSO, security, and audit controls in cloud data platforms.
• Experience with incident management, root cause analysis (RCA) and change management.
• Familiarity with Terraform scripts and ability to read/write small blocks of code.
• Experience with CI/CD processes in data engineering environments.

• Own day-to-day Snowflake administration across DEV/QA/PROD domains.
• Manage compute warehouses: scaling, performance, cost optimization.
• Ensure platform stability, availability, and operational efficiency; troubleshoot and resolve incidents.

Job description

• Strong experience with Snowflake platform administration
• Own day-to-day administration of Snowflake environments (databases, schemas, warehouses)
• Manage compute warehouses (scaling, performance, cost optimization)
• Ensure platform stability, availability, and operational efficiency
• Handle incident management, troubleshooting, and RCA
• Experience with Snowflake (schemas, RBAC, permissions), Azure (ADLS, PrivateLink, networking)
• Understanding of Data mesh / domain-driven architecture
• Experience with VPN, Proxy, SSH tunnels, Static IP configurations
• Co-ordination with Infra and Networking teams
• Incident and Change Management
• Experience working with Snowflake and Confluent Kafka is a strong advantage.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards.
• Experience in Agile environments and CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with SNOW workflows.
• Exposure to Data.world and Manta.
• Act as Snowflake Platform Admin within client ecosystem
• Own administration, governance, and operational stability of Snowflake platform
• Ensure compliance with RBAC, SSO, security, and audit controls
• Support onboarding teams for connector creation, configuration, and validation
• Close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure secure, scalable, Snowflake platform architecture
• Knowledge on Terraform (there are few terraform scripts used)
• Ability to understand and write stored procedures
• knowledge/understating of python /java scripts
• knowledge on GITHub, Jira
• Manage Snowflake account-level, database-level, schema-level, and object-level roles using RBAC model (roles, role hierarchy, grants)
• Administer Azure AD / SSO group mappings (SCIM/OAuth integration) for automated user provisioning and access control
• Maintain environment/domain-based role and database structure (DEV / QA / PROD segregation, domain schemas)
• Govern access lifecycle (grant/revoke roles & privileges) via ServiceNow/request workflows and ensure compliance documentation updates
• Support Snowflake object lifecycle management (databases, schemas, tables, views, stages, tasks, streams)
• Support data platform onboarding and integration enablement (schema setup, access provisioning, initial environment configuration)
• Manage data access and sharing configurations (secure data sharing, external integrations, role-based access segregation)
• Enforce RBAC policies across account, database, schema, and object levels ensuring domain-based access segregation
• Work with Security teams for Firewall rules, VPN approvals, Access governance
• Data Validation & Quality Assurance
• Prepare and Maintain Snowflake SOLD (Solution Design Documents), Integration templates and Knowledge base articles for access and onboarding
