Job summary

Value Innovation Labs is seeking an experienced Snowflake Administrator with strong data architecture skills to design, build and govern Snowflake-based data platforms for retail use cases. You will work on data modelling, migration, and long-term platform strategy.

Job Summary

Value Innovation Labs is hiring an experienced Snowflake Administrator with strong data architecture skills for a leading enterprise client. You will design, build and govern Snowflake-based data platforms for retail use cases, from data modelling and migration to long-term platform strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement database solutions and data models to store and retrieve retail data
• Administer and manage the Snowflake environment, including performance, access and cost
• Use Snowflake utilities such as SnowSQL and Snowpipe for ingestion and automation
• Build data warehouses and data marts on Snowflake, with data profiling and quality analysis
• Oversee migration of data from legacy systems to Snowflake
• Design and develop data extraction and integration code modules
• Work with data engineers and testing teams on ingestion logic, consumption patterns and testing
• Apply OLAP and OLTP models, dimensional modelling, Star schema, Snowflake schema and Data Vault modelling
• Review database implementation procedures for compliance with internal and external regulations
• Recommend improvements to new and existing database systems
• Maintain versions of data models using version control
• Work with business units and engineering teams to shape the long‑term data platform strategy
• Provide technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining and data cleansing
• Coach team members, work with stakeholders across the organization and take full ownership of deliverables

Desired Candidate Profile

• 5 to 10 years of experience in data architecture or administration, with Snowflake experience (mandatory)
• Hands‑on experience with SnowSQL and Snowpipe
• Strong understanding of Snowflake architecture and its use across different business cases
• Solid command of data modelling (Star, Snowflake, Data Vault) and OLAP/OLTP concepts
• Experience in legacy‑to‑cloud data migration
• Good to have: Retail domain experience
• Good to have: SnowPro certification
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
