Senior Android Developer

About the Role

• Develop and deploy satellite-based crop classification models using multispectral, hyperspectral, and SAR datasets (Sentinel-1/2, Landsat, NISAR).
• Design Earth Engine Python API workflows for cropland segmentation, sowing date estimation, acreage mapping, and in-season monitoring.
• Implement geospatial analytics to support regenerative agriculture insights—soil health indicators, cover crop detection, residue mapping, water stress, and biodiversity metrics.
• Build Python-based EO pipelines for large-scale agricultural monitoring (raster processing, zonal statistics, ML classification, time-series modeling).
• Integrate outputs with downstream systems (dashboards, APIs, ML models) to support digital agronomy and sustainability reporting.
• Maintain data quality, document methodologies, and support junior geospatial analysts.
• Promote best practices in model development and code quality.
• Translate business problems into data science solutions and communicate results to stakeholders.

Skills & Requirements

• Master’s/PhD in Remote Sensing, Geoinformatics, Agriculture Engineering, Earth Sciences, Environmental Science, or related field.
• >5 years of experience in satellite analytics for agriculture (crop mapping, phenology, yield modeling, or sustainability metrics). Strong expertise in Google Earth Engine (JavaScript + Python API) for large-scale agricultural monitoring.
• Proficient in Python (rasterio, geopandas, xarray, numpy, scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow is a plus).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and geospatial databases (PostGIS).
• Strong foundations in ML for agriculture: supervised classification, segmentation, domain adaptation, or transfer learning.
• Proficiency in Git, CI/CD pipelines, and frontend testing frameworks.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills to optimize performance and user experience.
