Job summary

Capgemini in Bangalore seeks an SME for Middleware Stack Integration focusing on Audio and Navigation for Android and Linux-based Automotive Infotainment platforms. You will lead architecture, design, and integration, driving end-to-end audio and navigation solutions across vehicle programs.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of Embedded Software Development and Automotive Infotainment experience.
  • Deep knowledge of AAOS or Embedded Linux platforms and middleware design.
  • Strong C/C++ skills and shell scripting with debugging expertise.
  • Experience integrating audio and navigation stacks in automotive IVI systems.
  • Hands-on with ADB, Logcat, GDB, Wireshark, Perf, and trace tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture, design, development, and integration of Audio and Navigation middleware stacks.
  • Define middleware framework, reusable components, and integration strategies across vehicle programs.
  • Drive end-to-end audio solutions including playback, voice processing, Bluetooth audio, and multi-zone audio.
  • Architect Audio HAL, DSP interfaces, codec drivers, and audio processing pipelines.
  • Lead navigation features including GPS/GNSS, maps, route guidance, and traffic services.
  • Collaborate with chipset vendors, OEMs, and Tier-1s to deliver scalable infotainment solutions.
  • Mentor teams, drive reviews, root-cause analysis, and customer-oriented technical discussions.

  • Lead the architecture, design, development, and integration of Audio and Navigation middleware stacks for Android and Linux‑based Automotive Infotainment platforms.
  • Define middleware architecture, software frameworks, reusable components, and integration strategies across multiple vehicle programs.
  • Drive end‑to‑end design and development of automotive audio solutions including media playback, voice processing, Bluetooth audio, hands‑free calling, multi‑zone audio, and premium audio features.
  • Architect and integrate Audio HAL, DSP interfaces, codec drivers, and audio processing pipelines.
  • Lead integration of navigation features including GPS/GNSS positioning, map services, route guidance, location services, traffic services, and vehicle positioning systems.
  • Collaborate with navigation solution providers, chipset vendors, OEMs, and Tier‑1 suppliers to deliver scalable infotainment solutions.
  • Design middleware interfaces between applications, Android framework services, HALs, Linux services, and hardware components.
  • Drive integration of navigation systems with vehicle networks, sensors, dead reckoning modules, and connected vehicle services.
  • Lead platform bring‑up and feature enablement on new hardware platforms and infotainment programs.
  • Analyze and resolve complex audio‑related issues including latency, synchronization, audio routing, voice quality, DSP integration, and multimedia performance.
  • Troubleshoot navigation issues related to GPS accuracy, map rendering, route calculation, positioning, and sensor fusion.
  • Optimize system performance, memory utilization, power consumption, boot time, and overall software stability.
  • Lead architecture reviews, design reviews, code reviews, and technical audits.
  • Mentor engineering teams and provide technical guidance on middleware design, integration, and debugging best practices.
  • Collaborate with vehicle networking teams to integrate CAN, Ethernet, SOME/IP, and location‑related vehicle services.
  • Drive root‑cause analysis and resolution of critical customer issues and field‑reported defects.
  • Support customer discussions, technical roadmaps, effort estimation, solution proposals, and technology evaluations.
  • Drive innovation in next‑generation infotainment, voice‑enabled systems, immersive audio experiences, and intelligent navigation solutions.
  • Presales solutioning & Customer Engagement
  • Work with Business Development, and account teams for presales solutioning and RFP/RFI responses.
