Job summary

THERMAX is seeking a qualified Safety Officer for an industrial O&M site. The role focuses on implementing safety standards, conducting inspections and risk assessments, and enforcing PTW/LOTO and PPE protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

The candidate should hold a B.Sc/Diploma/BE with ADIS/PDIS in Safety Management or an equivalent qualification and have 3–6 years of relevant experience. The position is full-time and located at the Mundra site.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in safety management on industrial O&M sites.
• Qualification as stated: B.Sc/Diploma/BE with ADIS/PDIS in Safety Management or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations, company policies, and client-specific HSE requirements.
• Conduct site safety inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments.
• Implement HIRA, JSA, PTW and LOTO procedures.
• Monitor PPE compliance and safe working practices among employees and contractors.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and safety awareness training.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor high-risk activities like work at height, hot work, confined space entry, electrical work.
• Coordinate with site management, operations, maintenance, and clients to maintain safety.

• Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations, company policies, and client-specific HSE requirements.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments.
• Implement HIRA, JSA, Permit to Work (PTW), and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Monitor PPE compliance and ensure safe working practices among employees and contractors.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and regular safety awareness training.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor high-risk activities, including work at height, hot work, confined space entry, and electrical work.
• Ensure fire safety, emergency preparedness, and periodic mock drills.
• Maintain safety documentation, inspection reports, incident registers, and statutory records.
• Coordinate with site management, operations, maintenance teams, and clients to maintain a safe working environment.
