Job description

Required Experience and Skills

• SRE / service experience covering key components of GCP platform, (GKE)
• Good understanding of hub and spoke topology
• Knowledge of security practices for cloud-native applications, including identity and access management, and network security
• Proficient in using monitoring tools to ensure system reliability
• Ability to automate repetitive tasks using scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues quickly
• Track record of implementing toil reduction solutions
• Experience working in an Agile framework
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly

K8 specifics

• Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture, deployment, and management
• Istio knowledge e.g. configuration, interaction with networking solutions
• Hands on knowledge of other GKS add-ons
• Hands on experience of using IaC to deploy/maintain GKS resources
