Job summary

Equifax in Pune is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable, fault-tolerant systems in production. You will implement infrastructure as code, automate deployments, and ensure observability.

You will join a 24/7 on-call rotation and collaborate with software teams to prevent outages, run postmortems, and improve reliability. Hybrid work setup with opportunities for growth and learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related technical discipline.
• 4-10 years of technical experience across DevOps, SRE, Systems, or Software Eng.
• 1+ years in public cloud (GCP preferred, AWS acceptable).
• Experience with Terraform IaC and container orchestration (Kubernetes/Docker).
• Scripting skills in Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline automation (Jenkins, GitLab CI).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and extend infrastructure as code across public clouds (GCP/AWS).
• Deploy, support, and troubleshoot containerized microservices on Kubernetes (GKE/EKS).
• Create and maintain GitHub Action workflows and automation scripts for incident remediation and pipelines.
• Set up observability dashboards and alerts with Datadog.
• Participate in 24/7 follow-the-sun on-call rotation for production incidents.
• Collaborate with development teams to analyze outages and implement preventive actions via postmortems.

What you'll do

• Maintain and execute Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform across public cloud environments (GCP/AWS).
• Deploy, support, and troubleshoot containerized microservices operating on Kubernetes (GKE/EKS).
• GitHub action workflows and groovy scripts for automated incident remediation, task automation, and pipeline integration.
• Set up and maintain observability dashboards, alerts, and metrics using tools such as Datadog.
• Participate in a 24/7 follow-the-sun operational rotation to manage, triage, and resolve production incidents.
• Collaborate with development teams to analyze system outages and execute preventative action items via postmortems.

What experience you need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• 4-10 years of overall technical experience across DevOps, SRE, Systems Administration, or Software Engineering.
• 1+ years of hands‑on experience running and maintaining applications in a public cloud environment (GCP preferred, AWS acceptable).
• Working experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and container orchestration using Kubernetes/Docker.
• Practical scripting skills in Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline automation (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
