Job summary

Lorven Technologies Inc. in India is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with strong expertise in AWS Core Services, Terraform IaC, and automation using Python/Terraform.

You will be responsible for ensuring reliability, scalability, availability, and performance of cloud-based applications and infrastructure, including incident management and proactive monitoring.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of AWS core services.
• Proficiency with Terraform for IaC and automation.
• Programming/scripting skills in Python and shell.
• Experience managing production cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable production systems.
• Monitor system reliability, availability, and performance.
• Perform incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis (RCA).
• Improve system stability through automation and proactive monitoring.
• Define and maintain SRE practices including SLAs, SLOs, and error budgets.
• Manage and support AWS core services including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudWatch, Route 53.
• Troubleshoot AWS infrastructure and application issues.
• Optimize cloud resources for performance, availability, and cost.
• Implement AWS security best practices.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, availability, and performance of cloud-based applications and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills, cloud infrastructure knowledge, automation capabilities, and experience managing production environments.

Key Responsibilities

Site Reliability Engineering

• Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable production systems.
• Monitor system reliability, availability, and performance.
• Perform incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis (RCA).
• Improve system stability through automation and proactive monitoring.
• Define and maintain SRE practices including SLAs, SLOs, and error budgets.
• Manage and support AWS core services including:
• EC2
• VPC
• IAM
• S3
• Lambda
• RDS
• CloudWatch
• Route 53
• Troubleshoot AWS infrastructure and application issues.
• Optimize cloud resources for performance, availability, and cost.

Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)

• Develop and maintain infrastructure using Terraform.
• Create reusable Terraform modules and automation templates.
• Manage Terraform state, backend configuration, and deployments.
• Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
• Perform Terraform code reviews and implement IaC best practices.
