Job summary

NIQ seeks a Senior DevOps / Data Engineer in India to design, build, and manage Azure-based infrastructure and AKS environments. You will own CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, troubleshoot production systems, and develop data pipelines with Power BI reporting.

This role demands strong incident management, log analysis, and collaboration across teams. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in DevOps, Cloud/Data engineering, and hands-on experience with Terraform/ARM templates, and security tooling.

Qualifications

• 8/10 proficiency in GitHub Actions with pipeline creation from scratch
• Azure IaaS & PaaS infrastructure management proficiency
• Power BI dashboard development and reporting experience
• Strong production support, monitoring, and incident management expertise
• Excellent log analysis and debugging skills
• Experience in multi-application production environments
• Familiarity with security best practices and tools (cycode, codeQL, wiz)
• Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools Terraform and ARM templates

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Senior DevOps / Data Engineer with strong expertise in Azure cloud, Kubernetes, CI/CD automation, and modern data engineering tools. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in designing, building, and managing cloud infrastructure, developing GitHub Actions pipelines from scratch, and supporting production environments with a focus on troubleshooting, performance optimization, and incident resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) environments for scalable applications
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, including developing workflows from scratch
• Work extensively with Azure Cloud (IaaS & PaaS) to provision, configure, and manage infrastructure
• Set up and maintain lower environments (Dev/Test) and contribute to production environment deployments
• Design, develop, and maintain data engineering pipelines using:
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions
• Perform daily troubleshooting, log analysis, and root cause analysis across applications and infrastructure
• Support and maintain production systems hosting multiple applications
• Handle and resolve user queries, incidents, and service requests in a timely manner
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance

Qualifications

GitHub Actions (CI/CD) – Advanced (8/10 proficiency), including pipeline creation from scratch

Microsoft Azure (IaaS & Infrastructure Management) – Advanced (8/10 proficiency)

Power BI – Dashboard development and reporting

Strong expertise in production support, monitoring, and incident management

Excellent log analysis and debugging skills

Experience working in multi-application production environments

Desired Candidate Profile:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Data Engineering roles
• Proven experience building and managing end-to-end cloud and CI/CD solutions
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting
• Ability to work in high-pressure production environments
• Excellent communication skills and experience handling user queries and stakeholder interactions
• Self-driven with ownership mindset and continuous learning attitude
• Experience in monitoring tools (Kube Prometheus Stack, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, etc.)
• Familiarity with security best practices and tools such as, cycode, codeQL, wiz.
• Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates)
