Job summary

SimCorp is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join our Azure-based SaaS platform team. You will help ensure reliability, scalability, and operational excellence while collaborating with cross-functional colleagues and mentors to grow your skills.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, automation, monitoring, and documentation, with structured onboarding and ongoing professional development supported by a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with cloud, DevOps, or infrastructure topics through coursework, internships, or projects.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to daily operations of the Azure-hosted platform.
  • Assist in deploying pipelines and automation tasks.
  • Monitor platform performance using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
  • Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and change management.
  • Help schedule and optimize batch jobs using enterprise schedulers.
  • Support integration and configuration of third-party tools and services.
  • Learn and apply SRE and ITIL practices, with runbooks and documentation.

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will join one of our Product Areas and become part of a collaborative team focused on operating and improving our Azure-based SaaS platform. You’ll work with experienced engineers and cross-functional colleagues to help ensure reliability, scalability, and operational excellence for both onboarding and running client environments. This role is a launchpad for your development as an SRE—combining hands-on engineering, automation, monitoring, and platform support—with strong mentorship and continuous learning opportunities built in.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
  • Contribute to the daily operations of our Microsoft Azure-hosted platform
  • Assist in managing and improving infrastructure deployment pipelines and automation tasks
  • Monitor platform performance and availability using tools like Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
  • Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and change management activities
  • Help schedule and optimize batch jobs using enterprise schedulers
  • Support the integration and configuration of third-party tools and services
  • Learn and apply SRE and ITIL practices, including service ownership and post-incident reviews
  • Collaborate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint-based team delivery
  • Maintain and improve documentation, including runbooks and operational guides
  • Engage in a structured onboarding and mentoring program to grow your skillset
WHAT WE VALUE

  • Some practical exposure to cloud, DevOps, or infrastructure topics through coursework, internships, or side projects
  • Interest in Microsoft Azure, automation, and cloud operations
  • Familiarity with scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) and version control (Git)
  • Awareness of monitoring, basic networking, or incident response is a plus
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
