Job summary

Tekskills in Chennai is seeking a hands-on Site Reliability Engineer/DevOps to own reliability of microservices in cloud environments. You will design and operate robust CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and container platforms.

The role requires deep knowledge of monitoring, incident response, and post-mortems, plus strong collaboration with onshore and client teams across financial or regulated contexts. Hands-on with AWS, Kubernetes, and modern observability tools is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
• Expertise with CICD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Ansible.
• Solid experience in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).

Responsibilities

• Lead SRE practices and incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortems.
• Own CI/CD pipelines and IaC automation for production systems.
• Work with monitoring/observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, Splunk).
• Collaborate with cloud services (AWS) and event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Coordinate with onshore and customer teams; ensure reliability, SLIs/SLOs, and risk controls.

Role & responsibilities

• Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Dynatrace, Kibana, GitHub, AWS, Microservices -Strong hands-on experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
• Expertise CICD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Ansible.Solid experience in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Strong scripting knowledge Python, Shell, or Node.js for automation and tooling.Experience with monitoring and observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, ELKEFK, AppDynamics, Splunk, or Dynatrace).
• Practical exposure to AWS.Knowledge of event-driven systems using Kafka or RabbitMQ
• .Must-Have --- Strong experience as a SRE DevOps Engineer Strong understanding of SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets
• .Proven experience in incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortem reviews.Hands-on in CICD, IaC, and automation scripting for production systems.
• Working knowledge of LinuxUnix administration and networking fundamentals.
• Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with onshore and customer teams.Good-to-Have --- Exposure to financial or banking domain applications
• .Experience with Cloud-native architecture Familiarity with chaos engineering tools Basic understanding of security and compliance controls in regulated environments.
