Job summary

Gharda Chemicals (GCL) in India seeks a seasoned factory head to lead a 350-strong polymer production operation, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and compliance with statutory requirements. The role requires 20 years of experience in polymer production and general management, strong cost control and process improvement, and the ability to relocate to Bharuch/ Ankleshwar.

Qualifications

• Graduate Chemical / Polymer Engineer from a reputed college with minimum 20 years of experience in production of polymers and general management.
• Achievements in process control, cost optimization and people engagement.
• Very high skill in technology of polymer manufacturing.
• Well versed with requirements of a factory in Gujarat.
• Willingness to relocate to Bharuch / Ankleshwar with family.
• Age not more than 50 years. Older candidates will be OK if they meet all requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to the factory for current and future business requirements.

Job description

Key purpose:

To provide leadership to the factory such that all factory related functions are aligned to achieve stated objectives of the factory in a seamless manner (Products: High performance polymers and high performance pigments)

Key deliverables:

1) To provide technical leadership to the factory for current and future business requirements

2) To be responsible for Production, Maintenance, Quality, Cost and Employee morale

3) To associate with Corporate leadership in R & D, EHS, HR, Finance and Quality for the benefit of the factory and for the larger organizational goals

4) To be the factory manager from legal perspective and actively participate in boundary management with local community as well as statutory authorities

5) Drive business goals for factory to meet customer expectations and also maintain cordial relations with suppliers so as to pursue Excellence in doing business

Candidate profile:

Graduate Chemical / Polymer Engineer from a reputed college with minimum 20 years of experience in Production of polymers and added experience in General Management of a Unit.

Achievements in process control, cost optimization and people engagement.

Other requirements:

1. Very high skill in Technology of polymer manufacturing

2. To be well versed with requirements of a factory in Gujarat
