Job summary

Alstom Sabarmati seeks an experienced Site GSI Leader to oversee industrial master data across ERP systems. You will define and maintain BOMs, routings and configuration data, lead data migration, and train users to ensure accurate, consistent information across platforms.

Qualifications

• Technical education background required.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• 6+ years in manufacturing engineering, ideally railway services.
• Basic knowledge of engineering design and supply chain processes.
• Strong experience with ERP systems (SAP) for BOM, routings, configuration management.
• Familiarity with IS common tools.
• Excellent organizational and logical thinking skills.

Take on a new challenge and apply your industrial data expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and forward-thinking teammates.

You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless implementation and upkeep of industrial Master Data across various systems, directly impacting the efficiency and accuracy of our operations. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Process/Manufacturing Engineers, the Industrial team, and Sourcing and Supply Chain departments), coordinate data migration efforts, and support system updates and training for users.

You’ll specifically take care of defining and maintaining critical data, such as Bills of Materials (BoMs), Process Routings, and Configuration Management data, but also ensure the consistency of these data across multiple systems.

We’ll look to you for:

• Acting as the Key User for Industrial Information System Tools (e.g., ERP, SES)
• Performing system tests before implementation or updates
• Leading data migration and rework efforts
• Training and supporting users on system functionalities
• Defining data work plans and interfacing with project industrialization for BoM requirements
• Managing and updating the implementation of data such as M-BoM, P-BoM, Routings, Work Centers, and Tooling
• Ensuring the accuracy and consistency of data across systems through audits and continuous improvement
• Handling the impacts of engineering and process changes in the systems
• Building and maintaining up-to-date Industrial ERP data, including maintenance strategies and task lists
