Job summary

PeopleStrong seeks a seasoned Civil Site Engineer to supervise civil works at our project sites in Tamil Nadu. You will ensure foundations, basements, roads, drainage, and control rooms are constructed per approved drawings and specs, while coordinating with electrical, mechanical, QA/QC, and HSE teams.

Daily progress and DPRs will be prepared. With 5–16 years in civil works, preferably in solar/renewable energy or infrastructure, you will ensure safety, quality, and on-time completion, and

• Bachelor’s or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• 5–16 years of civil works execution experience.
• Experience in solar/renewable energy or infrastructure projects.

Job Description

Site Execution & Supervision

Supervise and execute allcivil works at site, including foundations, equipment bases, access roads, drainage systems, control rooms, cable trenches, and other infrastructure works.

Ensure construction activities are carried out as perapproved drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements.

Monitor daily site activities to ensure adherence to quality, safety, and schedule commitments.

Coordination & Interface

Coordinate withelectrical, mechanical, QA/QC, and HSE teams for smooth integration of civil works with overall project execution.

Liaise with contractors and subcontractors to ensure timely progress of assigned work fronts.

Communicate drawings, work methods, and site instructions effectively to the workforce.

Quality Control & Inspection

Inspect civil construction works such as excavation, concreting, reinforcement, masonry, road works, and trenching.

Check materials like cement, steel, aggregates, and concrete for compliance with project specifications.

Assist in field tests includingsoil compaction, concrete cube testing, and other material tests.

Identify quality deviations and support corrective actions at site.

Safety & Compliance

Ensure strict compliance withsite safety rules, HSE guidelines, and statutory requirements.

Participate in safety inspections, toolbox talks, and audits to maintain a safe working environment.

Ensure civil works comply with environmental and regulatory norms.

Progress Monitoring & Reporting

Monitor progress of civil works against approved schedules and report daily activities to senior engineers or project managers.

PrepareDaily Progress Reports (DPRs) and assist in weekly/monthly reporting.

Highlight site issues, delays, and material constraints affecting execution.

Material & Resource Management

Assist in monitoringmaterial receipt, storage, and consumption at site.

Ensure proper handling and storage of construction materials to minimize wastage.

Support measurement of executed quantities and assist in billing documentation.

Problem Solving & Site Support

Identify and resolve day-to-day civil engineering issues at site.

Coordinate with design and planning teams to resolve drawing discrepancies and site constraints.

Support timely completion of civil works to meet project milestones.

Documentation & Records

Maintain site records, inspection checklists, test reports, and work completion documents.

Assist in preparation ofas-built drawings and handover documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s / Diploma inCivil Engineering.

5–16 years of experience in civil works execution, preferably in solar / renewable energy or infrastructure projects.

Working knowledge of AutoCAD drawings and site execution practices.

Key Skills

Strong site coordination and communication skills.

Understanding of construction quality and safety standards.

Ability to manage multiple work fronts under site conditions.
