Job summary

SYSTRA in India seeks a telecom systems engineer to support design review, installation, integration and commissioning of railway telecom subsystems across data backbones, CCTV, PIDS, SCADA and related interfaces.

The role requires hands-on experience interfacing telecom with rolling stock, signalling, MEP and SCADA, plus coordination with NHSRCL and agencies. Engineering graduates with BE/BTech or Diploma and 5–7 years in railway projects preferred.

Qualifications

• Engineering graduate with BE/BTech/Diploma in Electrical/Electronics.
• 5+ years (BE) or 7+ years (Diploma) experience implementing telecom systems in railway/metroe projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design review of telecom systems across subsystems.
• Assist in installation, integration, testing and commissioning.
• Assist interfacing telecom with rolling stock, signalling, MEP, SCADA.
• Assist in verifying completed work and preparing payment requests.
• Assist NHSRCL in obtaining statutory approvals.
• Coordinate with agencies such as ISA, CMRS for project completion.
• Support PD and Client (NHSRCL) with tasks to complete the project.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Assist in design review of telecom system, including subsystems for backbone of data transmission from field units to centralised control centres (DTS), wireless network, CCTV, access control, PIDS, PAS, master clock, EPBAX, telecom SCADA, etc.
• Assist in the installation, integration, testing & commissioning of the telecom system.
• Assist in interfacing of the telecom system with rolling stock, signalling subsystems, MEP, SCADA, etc., and interface document approval.
• Assist in verifying completed work and prepare requests for payment to contractors.
• Assist NHSRCL in obtaining statutory approvals.
• Assist and coordinate with various agencies, i.e., ISA, CMRS, etc., for successful completion of the project.
• Assist in any other roles and responsibilities required to be performed to complete the project and assigned by PD and Client (NHSRCL).

Preferred candidate profile

Min. Qualification: Engineering Graduate (B.E./B.Tech./Diploma in Electrical/Electronics stream or equivalent)

Min. Experience: Engineering Graduate with 05 years, or Engineering Diploma with 07 years of experience implementing a telecommunication system during construction phase in a railway or metro project(s)*.
