Job summary

Freyr Energy is seeking an Engineer to handle on-field activities for residential rooftop solar projects, including site survey, installation and maintenance. The role requires coordinating with design teams, explaining designs to clients, and ensuring installation quality across site networks.

Responsibilities emphasize quality assessments, timely maintenance, and clear reporting, with extensive travel across residential and small-commercial sites in India.

Qualifications

• 60% or higher in 10th and 12th grade.
• Experience in the C&I segment.
• At least 1 year of experience in executing ground-mount or rooftop solar plants with a minimum capacity of 50 kW and above.
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code, NOS and standard design/construction practices.
• Willingness to travel extensively.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess and communicate site details and measurements accurately to design team.
• Coordinate with design team in final design with site layout and all required details.
• Explain the design to the client to expedite approvals when required.
• Communicate details with the installer and ensure systems and processes are followed during installation.
• Close monitoring installations with zero errors across all residential project sites.
• Perform quality assessments and maintenance activities at sites in the assigned region for rooftop and ground-mounted plants.
• Adhere to pre-set parameters during post-installation checks.
• Maintain maintenance schedules and assign service requests for root cause resolution.
• Provide up-to-date daily work status reports to reporting manager.

Job Description

Job Summary:

The Engineer is responsible for all on-field activities related to project execution, including but not

limited to site survey, installation & maintenance of residential rooftop solar projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and communicate site details and measurements accurately to design team.
• Coordinate & assist the design team in the final design with site layout and all
• other required details.
• If required, explain the design to the client to expedite approvals.
• Communicate these details accurately with the installer and ensure that Freyr’s
• systems and processes are followed during installation. Where required, close
• monitoring installations will need to be done. Ensure project execution with zero
• errors across all residential project sites.
• Quality Assessments
• Primarily responsible for all quality assessments and maintenance activities at the
• sites in the assigned region for both rooftop & ground-mounted plants.
• Strict adherence to pre-set parameters at all plants as part of the quality assessment
• post installation of all sites.
• To ensure proper maintenance by adhering to the assigned maintenance schedule
• Assigned service requests to be diagnosed to identify the root cause, as well as for an
• efficient long-term resolution. Trouble shooting, fault findings & root cause analysis.
• Maintaining files and documents related to site surveys, project execution for each client
• and service reports after service calls.
• To provide with up-to-date daily work status report via email to reporting manager

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Mandatory Requirements:

• 60% above in 10th and 12th grades
• Candidate must have experience in the C&I segment.
• Should have 1 year of experience in executing ground-mount or rooftop solar plants with a
• minimum capacity of 50 kW and above.
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code, National Occupational standards (NOS) and standard
• design/construction practices
• Willingness to travel extensively
• Good oral & written communication skills.
