Job summary

Fawia is seeking a Site Engineer for Oil & Gas, Piping, Iron & PEB structures. The role requires 4–8 years of experience and a Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

The candidate will independently manage site execution, planning, manpower, and client coordination on projects in UP and surrounding locations. The ideal candidate will read complex drawings, supervise fabrication and erection, ensure safety and quality, and deliver milestones on schedule.

Qualifications

• Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 4–8 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas/EPC projects.
• Experience in piping fabrication, erection, testing, commissioning, and Iron & PEB structures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise piping, structural steel, Iron & PEB fabrication, erection and installation.
• Read and interpret P&ID, isometric, GA drawings and piping/structural drawings.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly work plans and achieve daily targets as scheduled.
• Coordinate manpower, productivity, attendance, and work distribution.
• Manage technicians, welders, fabricators, and subcontractors to ensure progress.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Site Engineer with strong technical knowledge of Oil & Gas projects, piping fabrication, erection, testing, commissioning, and Iron & PEB structural works. The candidate must be capable of independently managing site execution, manpower, planning, client coordination, and project targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise piping, structural steel, Iron & PEB fabrication, erection, installation, and sheeting activities.
• Read and interpret P&ID, isometric, GA, piping, fabrication, and structural drawings.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly work plans and ensure daily targets are achieved within the planned schedule.
• Handle manpower deployment, allocation, productivity monitoring, attendance, and work distribution.
• Manage technicians, fitters, welders, fabricators, riggers, helpers, and subcontractors effectively.
• Monitor work progress and take corrective action to avoid delays and achieve project milestones.
• Coordinate material availability, equipment requirements, and work-front readiness.
• Handle welding, fit-up, hydrotesting, NDT (RT, UT, MT, PT), inspection, and quality documentation.
• Prepare daily progress reports (DPR), manpower reports, productivity reports, and look-ahead plans.
• Handle BOQ, MTO, quantity measurements, RA billing, and subcontractor billing.
• Resolve technical and site-related issues and coordinate with engineering, QA/QC, and safety teams.
• Coordinate with clients and consultants, present progress updates, and communicate work plans professionally.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
• Control material wastage, rework, idle manpower, and unnecessary project costs.
• Conduct daily toolbox meetings and coordinate with the safety team for safe execution.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Oil & Gas, piping, fabrication, erection, and Iron & PEB structures.
• Excellent manpower handling, team leadership, and site execution skills.
• Strong planning, problem-solving, decision-making, and target-achievement capabilities.
• Knowledge of testing procedures, welding documentation, QA/QC reports, and billing.
• Good drawing-reading, client-handling, and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and AutoCAD. Primavera P6 / MS Project knowledge is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and complete work within the approved timeline.
