Job summary

Ericsson AB in Hyderabad is seeking a Core Support Engineer to provide technical service and support to customers, focusing on stabilizing and optimizing mobile networks. You will monitor MSC sites, execute corrective and preventive maintenance, manage site facilities, and supervise third parties within a 24x7 operations framework.

Primary duties include tracing analysis with Wireshark, working with Packet Core/CS Core networks, and coordinating with NOC and SRF teams to ensure high availability

Qualifications

• Experience with core telecom networks and packet core environments.
• Strong trace analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with IP routing and subnetting concepts.
• Experience with MGW/MSS/GMSC gateways and CS/PS core nodes.
• Willingness to work in a 24x7 field services role.

Responsibilities

• Monitor MSC site locations and perform corrective maintenance.
• Manage MSC site facilities and information, including data records.
• Supervise third parties and coordinate with SRF/TSG teams.
• Analyze daily reports and plan actions for critical metrics.
• Ensure CS/PS core backups and routine parameter audits.

About this opportunity

We are looking for a Core Support Engineer that will provide technical service and support to our customers. In this role, candidate will resolve problems to stabilize and optimize customer networks.

What you will do

• Surveillance monitoring of MSC site location
• Corrective Maintenance Execution
• MSC Site Facility Management
• MSC Site Information Management
• Third party supervision
• Preventive Maintenance Execution
• Spare part handling
• Physical Site Access Management

The skills you bring

• Good knowledge of the PS & CS nodes in the network.
• Good understanding of the Trace analysis Wireshark traces.
• Work in an efficient way, particularly with respect to the tasks corresponding with her/his function (level).
• Proficient Knowledge of Packet Core & CS Core Network and IP domain.
• Working experience of Ericsson/Huawei MSC/GMSC media gateway.
• Exposure of IP Networks, routing protocols and sub-netting.
• Excellent in troubleshooting of GPRS/Data related issues, Taking and analyzing traces for resolution of the issue.
• IMS Core /WiFi Network knowledge.
• Phenomenal Teammate and lead a small team within area of responsibility.
• Troubleshooting Skills of CS/PS Core Nodes Deployed in Circle.
• Experience in MGW, MSS, GMSC, GMGW, STP, DRA.
• Will be working in Circle Operations.
• Flexibility to work 24*7.
• Fault Handling in along with NOC and Back Office.
• Daily Report analysis and action plan for critical metric Dip.
• Routine audit of Parameters of Different Packet Core Nodes.
• CR Handling and Co Ordination with SRF Team.
• Customer Complaint resolution in coordination with TSG.
• Ensuring CS/PS/PBN/IN Core Node Backup Process.
• Adherence to Guideline share by Customer /Central Team.
• Any other responsibility w.r.t Network upkeep requirements.
