Job summary

Raylite Concept is seeking a mid-level, site-based engineer in Bengaluru to manage day-to-day installation activities for polycarbonate skylights, roofs, and facades. You will interpret shop drawings, supervise the crew, and ensure site readiness and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or BE/BTech in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• 0–4 years site execution experience in roofing, cladding, facade, skylight or PEB projects.
• Ability to read shop drawings and take accurate site measurements.
• Experience preparing daily progress reports and material reconciliation.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and work at height.
• English plus Kannada, Hindi or Tamil for crew communication.

Responsibilities

• Run site execution for standing seam roofs, skylights, and facades according to drawings and Raylite methods.
• Verify site readiness: check structure, purlin spacing, slopes and levels; record measurements.
• Lead the installation crew daily: plan sequences, assign tasks, enforce safety rules.
• Own quality control and weather-tightness; inspect joints, fasteners, end caps and flashing; conduct water tests as needed.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants and main contractors on access and schedules; flag delays early.
• Maintain site records: daily progress, measurement sheets, material reconciliation, photos, handover docs.

Raylite Concept is a Bengaluru-based architectural daylighting company. We design, supply and install Multicell polycarbonate systems: standing seam daylighting roofs, skylights, canopies and walkways, and translucent facades u. Our systems bring natural light into factories, warehouses, commercial buildings and public spaces.

About the role

This is a mid-level, site-based role reporting to the Project Manager. You'll typically run one or two installations at a time ;

• Run site execution for standing seam roofs, skylights, canopies and facade glazing, following approved shop drawings and the Raylite installation method.
• Verify site readiness before install: check structure, purlin spacing, slopes and levels against drawings, and record site measurements for any revisions.
• Lead the installation crew day to day — plan work sequences, assign tasks, and enforce working-at-height and PPE rules.
• Own quality and weather-tightness: inspect joints, fastener spacing, end caps and flashing; run water tests where needed and close snags before handover.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants and main contractors on access, schedules and site issues; flag delays and variations to the Project Manager early.
• Keep site records: daily progress reports, measurement sheets, material reconciliation, photos and handover documents.

What we're looking for

Required

• Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• 0-4 years of site execution experience in roofing, cladding, facade, skylight or pre-engineered building (PEB) projects.
• Can read and work from shop drawings, sections and details, and take accurate site measurements.
• Experience preparing daily progress reports and material reconciliation.
• Comfortable working at height and willing to travel to project sites.
• Working knowledge of English plus Kannada, Hindi or Tamil to communicate with crews.

Preferred

• Hands-on experience with polycarbonate, standing seam or aluminium glazing systems.
• AutoCAD skills for marking up drawings and as-built sketches.
• Basic Excel for BOQs, cutting plans and measurement sheets.
• Two-wheeler and valid driving licence.

Working conditions

• Location: Based in Bengaluru, with travel to project sites .
