Job summary

ZF Group in Chennai is seeking a Simulation Engineer- MBD/ Simpack / ADAMS to develop and execute multi-body simulation models for air suspension, powertrain, and steering systems using MBD software, and to drive design improvements.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience in ANSYS Motion, Simpack, ADAMS, and strong vehicle dynamics knowledge, plus MATLAB or Python skills for analysis.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in multi-body simulation.
• Experience with Powertrain/driveline, suspension and steering system simulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute simulation models for Air Suspension Systems, powertrain systems and Steering Systems using MBD software.
• Analyze simulation results and provide recommendations for design improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure simulation models are aligned with project goals.
• Develop and maintain simulation models for various Air Suspension, powertrain components, including transmissions, and drivelines.
• Conduct sensitivity analyses to evaluate the impact of design changes on system performance.
• Develop and maintain simulation tools and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide technical support to other engineers and stakeholders on simulation-related issues.

Your profile as Simulation Engineer- MBD/ Simpack / ADAMS (m/f/d):

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Multi Body Simulation using ANSYS Motion/ Simpack / ADAMS software
• Experience in Powertrain/driveline, Suspension systems and Streeting systems simulation is required.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle dynamics
• Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills & Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team & Experience with MATLAB or Python is a plus.
