  • B.Tech or M.Tech in Electronics Engineering with 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong understanding of silicon power, performance optimization, and hardware–software interactions at the system level.
  • Experience in silicon bring-up, validation, and productization; knowledge of board design and power supply design.
  • Excellent hardware debugging, logical reasoning, and data analysis skills.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware lab equipment; Windows and Linux familiarity.
  • Scripting knowledge in Python and/or Perl is a plus.
  • Ability to work with global cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Exposure to power analysis, semiconductor processes, transistor physics, and aging mechanisms.
  • Understanding of power supply and substrate noise analysis and mitigation; exposure to BIOS/drivers.

Responsibilities

  • Execute test cases, debug silicon issues, generate accurate test results, and provide design feedback.
  • Identify solutions for silicon and system-level challenges, owning critical bugs for releases.
  • Collaborate with architects, designers, software/firmware engineers, and operations to deliver products.
  • Develop features focused on performance, power optimization, and power management with cross-functional teams.
  • Build tools for post-silicon validation and develop methodologies for silicon power characterization.
  • Coordinate with Architecture and Design to prepare test plans for new features.
  • Partner with validation and bring-up teams to characterize silicon power and power-saving capabilities.
  • Work with design and estimation teams to compare silicon performance vs pre-silicon expectations and tune power.
  • Develop power consumption models for productization and customer documentation; improve power control mechanisms.

Job description

What Youll Be Doing:
  • Execute test cases, debug silicon-related issues involving functionality and correlation, generate accurate test results, and provide valuable design feedback.
  • Identify creative solutions for complex silicon and system-level challenges, while taking ownership of critical bugs to ensure smooth product releases.
  • Work closely with system architects, chip and board designers, software and firmware engineers, HW/SW application engineers, process and reliability experts, ATE engineers, and operations teams in a fast-paced environment to deliver industry-leading products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop next-generation product features focused on performance improvement, power optimization, and efficient power management.
  • Build tools for post-silicon activities, develop methodologies for post-silicon validation, characterize silicon power, and correlate silicon behaviour with simulation results.
  • Coordinate with Architecture and Design teams to prepare comprehensive test plans for newly introduced features.
  • Partner with validation and bring-up teams to characterize silicon power and evaluate power-saving capabilities.
  • Work alongside design and estimation teams to compare silicon performance with pre-silicon expectations, while collaborating with hardware and software teams for power tuning and optimization.
  • Develop power consumption models for binning, productization, and customer application documentation. Also, characterize and improve different power control mechanisms in collaboration with Architecture, Design, and Software teams.
What We Need To See:
  • B.Tech or M.Tech in Electronics Engineering with 2+ years of relevant industry experience, along with excellent problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of silicon power, performance optimization, technology node impacts, and hardware-software interactions at the system level.
  • Practical experience in silicon bring-up, validation, and productization, with solid knowledge of board design, system design considerations, and power supply design.
  • Excellent hardware debugging, logical reasoning, and data analysis skills.
  • Good familiarity with hardware laboratory environments and hands-on experience using various lab equipment.
  • Experience working on Windows systems; exposure to Linux is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python and/or Perl will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively with global cross-functional teams in a dynamic, high-energy work environment.
  • Exposure to critical path analysis, power analysis, semiconductor process technologies, transistor/device physics, silicon reliability, and aging mechanisms.
  • Understanding of power supply and substrate noise analysis and mitigation, along with exposure to digital design, circuit analysis, computer architecture, BIOS, drivers, and software applications.
