Job summary

Lead Hr Services in Tamil Nadu is seeking an Operator (Shift) with a Diploma in Chemical / Petrochemical Technology to manage shift-based plant operations.

The role requires 3-5 years of experience, hands-on responsibility for process plants, batch execution, safety and quality compliance.

You will monitor parameters, handle unloading and loading, maintain logs, and coordinate with maintenance while ensuring ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Chemical / Petrochemical Technology.
• 3-5 years of plant operation experience.
• Willing to work in shifts and handle hands-on tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate process plants during the shift in assigned area.
• Follow SOPs for batch sequences, monitor process parameters, and ensure safe operation.
• Unloading raw materials into storage tanks.
• Truck loading of finished products per dispatch plan.
• Maintain production data logs and report deviations.
• Hand over to maintenance and conduct trial runs.
• Comply with ISO 9002 & ISO 14001 requirements and participate in safety programs.
• Maintain good housekeeping and assist in plant emergencies.

Role & responsibilities

Designation- Operator (Shift)

Qualification : Diploma in Chemical / Petrochemical Technology

Experience 3-5 Years

Primary purpose of the job:

Plant operator to handle Operations of Process plants ties in field or He is responsible for hands on job of all activities in the shift in his areas of responsibility.

Carries out both routine and non-routine operations during the shift which collectively lead to achievement of Safety / Process safety & production targets while meeting the production schedules.

ACTIVITIES

Carries out operations in the respective area in Safe, Efficient And Environmentally sound manner

Follows laid down operating procedures / practices for carrying out the Batch sequences through DCS, charging of raw materials, monitoring & maintaining process parameters, ensuring unhindered operation of utilities etc., relevant to his area of operation.

Carries out unloading operations of all raw materials, intermediates and components into the respective storage tanks.

Carries out truck loading operations of all Finished products / By - products as per dispatch plan

Maintains a detailed log of data and activities including production data, equipment status, safety and miscellaneous activities.

Communicates any deviation to SIC & takes corrective action / supports in corrective actions as required.

Ensures safe handing over & taking over of equipment to & from maintenance and conducts trial runs upon job completion

Responsible for complying with procedures, work instructions and maintaining records relevant to ISO 9002 & ISO 14001 requirements.

Actively participate in Companys Safety / Process safety programs.

Responsible for good housekeeping of his work area and participates in plant emergencies.
