Job summary

ABB in Faridabad, India, is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a production unit and convert parts and raw materials into ABB products on schedule and cost effectively.

You will organize resources, ensure adherence to procedures, drawings, quality and safety standards, and work with internal teams to resolve production issues and improve performance. On-site role reporting to the Motion IEC Low Voltage Division.

Qualifications

• 7 to 12 years of experience in execution production activities for rotating field.
• Full-time B.E/B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical.
• Guides teams, mentors, and builds high-performing groups.
• Owns health and safety for teams, with focus on HSE improvements.
• Drives continuous improvement in production performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team within a Production unit to execute production processes.
• Transform parts and raw materials into ABB products on time and cost-effectively.
• Ensure continuous and efficient operation per volumes, schedules, drawings, and quality/safety standards.
• Organize and allocate resources to meet line production targets.

Production Supervisor

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a team within a Production unit or line to execute production processes, transforming parts and raw materials into ABB products in a timely and cost-effective manner. Each day, you will ensure continuous and efficient operation in accordance with volumes, schedules, procedures, drawings, and quality and safety standards and policies. You will also showcase your expertise by organizing and allocating resources to meet line production targets effectively and efficiently.

This role is contributing to the Motion business for IEC Low Voltage Division based in Faridabad, India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Ensuring that production scheduling and production plan meet the volume requirements agreed upon in the demand plan and defined inventory service levels.
• Recommending technical equipment and facility improvements as necessary.
• Identifying deficiencies in production area, proposing improvement activities, and overseeing implementation of actions to improve production performance.
• Managing the resolution of critical product or equipment issues together with relevant internal teams.

Qualifications for the role

• 7 to 12 years of experience in execution production activities for rotating field.
• Full time B.E/B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical.
• Provides guidance to the teams and seeks knowledge for their own development and coaching/mentoring of the teams.
• Builds effective, competent, and high-performing teams.
• Accountable for the health and safety of all employees and contractors for the teams in scope, and continuous improvement in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) processes and integrity performance.
