Job summary

Jobitus is seeking a Shift Incharge to oversee daily operations, production execution, and staff coordination during the shift in a manufacturing setting in Raipur. You will ensure targets are met and SOPs followed.

You will manage attendance, train operators, enforce HSE protocols, monitor quality, and handover reports to the next shift. Prior supervisory experience in plant, factory, or warehouse is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Chemical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 2–6 years of supervisory or hands-on operations experience in a plant, factory, warehouse, or commercial setting.

Responsibilities

• Operations & Production Execution: Supervise daily shift activities to meet targets and SOPs.
• Team & Manpower Management: Allocate tasks, manage attendance, and set duty schedules; train and mentor operators.
• Safety & Quality Compliance: Enforce HSE protocols, PPE usage, safety checks, and report incidents.
• Reporting & Handovers: Maintain shift logs, production reports, and perform clear handovers to the next Shift Incharge.

A Shift Incharge oversees all daily operations, staff coordination, and workflow execution during a specific work shift in manufacturing, production, logistics, or retail environments. They act as the primary bridge between front-line operators and senior plant or store management.

Job Summary

The Shift In-Charge is responsible for maintaining uninterrupted workflow, meeting productivity or output targets, ensuring safety compliance, and managing team performance during their assigned shift hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Operations & Production Execution:
  • Supervise daily shift activities to ensure targets and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are met.
  • Monitor machinery, equipment status, and raw material flow to minimize downtime.
  • Coordinate with maintenance, quality control (QC), and logistics teams to clear bottlenecks.
• Team & Manpower Management:
  • Allocate daily tasks, manage staff attendance, and set duty schedules.
  • Train, mentor, and support new operators, helpers, or shift personnel.
  • Handle team discipline, resolve internal conflicts, and maintain high morale.
• Safety & Quality Compliance:
  • Enforce health, safety, and environment (HSE) protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Conduct routine safety checks and report workplace incidents or deviations.
  • Monitor product or service output quality to ensure company standards are consistently met.
• Reporting & Handovers:
  • Maintain accurate shift logbooks, production reports, and performance KPIs.
  • Conduct a thorough written and verbal shift handover with the incoming Shift Incharge.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Diploma, Bachelor's degree (B.Sc. / B.E. / B.Tech in a relevant field such as Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering), or equivalent hands-on industry experience.
• Experience: Typically 2 to 6 years of supervisory or hands-on operational experience in a plant, factory, warehouse, or commercial setup.
