SharePoint and Power Platform Developer
Work Location & Schedule
- Reporting to the Bangalore office in India
- Requires 3-4 hours of daily overlap with U.S. Pacific Time (PST)
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, enhancement, and support of SharePoint Online, SPFx, and Power Platform solutions for enterprise intranet, collaboration, and workflow automation needs.
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, define solution architecture, and deliver scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions.
- Develop and maintain custom SharePoint components, including SPFx web parts and extensions, site templates, forms, workflows, and integrations with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Graph, and related Azure services.
- Design and implement Power Apps and Power Automate solutions that streamline business processes and improve user productivity.
- Provide technical leadership across the full software development lifecycle, including proof-of-concept development, coding standards, testing, deployment planning, release execution, and production support.
- Administer and optimize SharePoint Online environments, including site architecture, permissions, document libraries, lists, metadata, search, and governance controls.
- Monitor solution health, troubleshoot issues, and resolve performance, scalability, and integration challenges in development and production environments.
- Drive innovation by evaluating new Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and AI capabilities, and recommending improvements aligned with business priorities.
- Collaborate effectively within Agile or Scrum teams and contribute to planning, estimation, demos, documentation, and continuous improvement activities.
- Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders and mentor team members on best practices for SharePoint and Power Platform development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of experience in SharePoint development, including strong hands‑on experience with SharePoint Online in enterprise environments.
- Strong experience developing SPFx web parts and extensions using modern JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks such as React.
- 3+ years of experience delivering Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and related Microsoft 365 automation capabilities.
- Solid understanding of SharePoint Online architecture, permissions, information architecture, search, managed metadata, and governance.
- Experience with REST APIs, Microsoft Graph, PowerShell, and enterprise system integration patterns.
- Experience with application lifecycle management, testing, release management, and production deployment practices.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions and lead delivery across multiple workstreams.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Microsoft certifications in SharePoint, Power Platform, Azure, or related technologies are highly desirable.
