Job summary

Aditya Birla Group is seeking a mining operations professional to drive the systematic mine plan across mining verticals, ensuring extraction aligns with the approved plan and P&B targets. The role monitors operations in bauxite and coal mines, compiles production data and KPIs, and identifies deviations with mitigation actions.

Responsibilities

• Implementation of mining Plan across mining vertical and ensure extraction of Bauxite/Coal as per prepared mine plan to achieve the P&B target.
• To monitor the operation in Bauxite & coal Mine as per approved Mining Plan.
• Compiling actual data of operation including production, quality, key operational KPIs, and comparing with planned data.
• Figuring out areas and reasons for deviations and preparing mitigation plans.
• Ensuring all the mines are performing surveys on fortnightly/monthly basis, updating mines topography and mining model with latest survey.
• Ensure the mining model is being updated with operational data to minimize short term deviations.
• Ideation of technical & digitalization projects to optimize cost, enhance safety & productivity.
• Creation of Budget, schedule & action plan for implementation of projects.
• Review & approve contractor & sub-contractor with commercial team.
• Coordinate with unit operation team in project implementation.
• Track ongoing projects & share briefing with technical team regularly.
• Facilitate training at the mines site for project implementation.
• Prepare MIS and technical reports on a regular basis and present at corporate level.

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

Implementation of Systematic Mine Plan

• Implementation of mining Plan across mining vertical and ensure extraction of Bauxite/Coal as per prepared mine plan to achieve the P&B target.
• To monitor the operation in Bauxite & coal Mine as per approved Mining Plan.

Reconciliation

• Compiling actual data of operation which included production, quality, key operational KPIs, etc. and comparing it with planned data.
• Figuring out areas and reasons for deviations.
• Preparing and implementing mitigation plan to minimize future deviations.
• Ensuring all the mines are performing survey on fortnightly/monthly basis, updating mines topography and mining model with the latest survey.
• Ensure the mining model is being updated with operational data to minimize short term deviations.

Technical Project- Management, Monitoring and Reporting

• Ideation of technical & digitalization projects which will optimize cost & enhance safety & productivity of mining operation.
• Creation of Budget, schedule & action plan for implementation of projects.
• To review & approve contractor & sub-contractor with commercial team.
• Coordination with unit operation team in project implementation.
• To track all the ongoing projects & share briefing with technical team regularly.
• To facilitate training at the mines site for the implementation of projects.
• Preparing MIS and technical report on regular basis and present it on corporate level.
